Charlie A. A Musical Journey Charlie A, a renowned music producer and DJ based in São Paulo, Brazil, has captivated audiences for over two decades. His musical journey commenced in the 1990s, during which he honed his craft by performing at nightclubs, crafting soundtracks for fashion shows, collaborating with underground artists, and organising club nights. His early influences were shaped by his father, a passionate DJ who played a diverse range of genres, including jazz, rock and roll, soul, disco, sambarock, and bossa nova. This exposure to a wide spectrum of music left a profound impact on Charlie’s artistic development. One of Charlie’s pioneering achievements was his inclusion as one of the first artists to perform electro music at São Paulo Gay Pride. His performances at esteemed venues such as Sound Factory, U-Turn, Victoria Pub, Columbia, Espaço Retrô, Club Alien, and Susi in Transe further solidified his reputation as a musical icon. Since relocating to London in 2004, Charlie has continued to perform at renowned clubs like Half Baked, The Egg, and Superfreak party in AKA (The End), showcasing his versatility across genres such as hip hop, house, electro, techno, and jazz.
