Signed to -hour-music-official LONG BIO - From a young age, Wez (aka Yellody) was drawn to music, playing drums throughout school before developing a deep interest in music production and DJing. He began DJing at 15, learning his craft on vinyl turntables and quickly earning slots at local nightclubs in his hometown of Wigan, including Cricketeers, Maximes, and Pada Lounge. In 2014, Yellody took his sound overseas, securing residencies in two of Europe's biggest party destinations: Malia, Crete and Ayia Napa, Cyprus. Performing nightly to thousands of partygoers sharpened his ability to read a crowd and command a dancefloor, and led to a standout opportunity opening for international pop artist Example. Rise as a Producer Returning to the UK, Yellody continued building his reputation at respected venues including Sankeys in Manchester, where he supported acts such as Chuckie and Michael Woods (OFFAIAH). In 2015, he secured a residency at Wigan's renowned house music institution The Attic, playing alongside international names including Tom Staar, Corey James, and D.O.D. Alongside his DJ schedule, Yellody focused on developing his sound in the studio, teaching himself production on FL Studio. His tracks soon caught the attention of Top 100 DJs Ummet Ozcan and Sander Van Doorn, both of whom featured his music on their radio shows.
